Studying Marketing

When I say ‘marketing’ you probably think of advertisements. True, this is an aspect of marketing, but not what it’s all about. There is more to marketing than just the glossy adverts, Facebook campaigns and Instagram followers.

Marketing is a core business and management discipline that is concerned with identifying needs of customers, coordinating development of new products and services or improvements to existing ones and then promoting these to both old and new customers. With a degree in marketing, you could work in any of these areas within marketing—customer insights (finding out what customers do and want), product development or promotions and communications.
